Simmons and Fletcher, P.C., Injury & Accident Lawyers Announce Winners of the 2023 Scholarship Competitions

Houston, Texas – The Keith M. Fletcher Excellence in Ethics College Scholarship Competition was named in honor of the late founding partner, Keith M. Fletcher.  83 college and law school students competed across the United States for the $1,000.00 first-place prize and $500.00 second-place prize by writing and submitting scholarships discussing the importance of providing free legal services to those who cannot afford it, and why this is beneficial to the community at large and to the legal system as a whole.

The final winners were chosen by the spouse of Keith M. Fletcher, Lane Fletcher, as follows:

1st Place: Andrew Bilodeau
2nd Place: Alexys Kohl

With the selection of these winners, the 2023 competition is complete, and the 2024 Keith M. Fletcher Excellence in Ethics College Scholarship Competition is officially open for submissions.  Obtain more details on the criteria for this scholarship.

The Robert S. Simmons Christian Studies Scholarship Contest represents the law firm’s commitment to faith-based education and was named in honor of the late founding partner, Robert S. Simmons. The scholarship is open to high school students studying or planning to study a faith-based curriculum as well as college students enrolled at a faith-based institution.  57 students submitted essays on the topic of how Christian education and Christian business leaders help to enhance the moral fibers of the United States. The winners of the $1000.00 first-place prize and the $500.00 second-place prize were chosen by the spouse of Robert S. Simmons, Marilyn Simmons, and her daughter, Sarah Heinrich.  The winners are:

1st Place: Alaina Hass
2nd Place: Tessa Gannott

Congratulations to our winners and to all of our competition applicants for making this event a big success. With the selection of these winners, the 2023 competition is complete, and the 2024 Robert S. Simmons Christian Studies College Scholarship Competition is officially open for submissions.
