Bold Patents Helps Client Obtain Patent for Removable Zipper Char

Seattle, Washington – Bold Patents® is excited to announce that their client, inventor Phil Martino of ZIPJEWEL, INC., in San Rafael, CA, has been granted a patent for a Removable Zipper Charm with a Marketing Receptacle.

Currently, there are several solutions for zipper pulls and marketing/character charms; however, these solutions cannot meet the needs of the industry because they are mechanically complicated, not easily removed, and do not allow for ready reattachment.

Mr. Marino has devised a zipper pull with an attachment that includes a bidirectional connecting mechanism and a zipper tab replacement medallion. The medallions come in different shapes with interchangeable words, designs, colors, and patterns, which can be customized to express different aesthetic preferences.

The medallions can also be easily removed and replaced, making the removable zipper charm suitable for multiple marketing campaigns. For instance, the medallion can have a sports team’s logo to be used as sports memorabilia, school mascots for students who want to represent their respective schools, or a fashion logo for a branded designer – opening the door to countless marketing opportunities.

The journey to obtaining this patent was a long one, having commenced with a provisional patent application on June 30, 2017. Bold Patents will provide ongoing counsel to allow ZIPJEWEL to maximize the value of this IP asset.
