Los Angeles, CA (Law Firm Newswire) November 03, 2022 - We are excited to announce that J&Y Law Firm has awarded its 2022 Defense Against Distracted Driving Scholarship to Xol Torres, a student at CSU, Channel Islands.

Contestants submitted 500 to 1,000-word responses to one of two essay questions: How have you actively abstained from distracted driving, and how do you plan on continuing to do so while you are at college? Our judges found Xol’s essay well-written, sincere, reflective, and insightful.

“Thank you so much! I am honored to have won this scholarship, ” Xol said.

We are currently accepting submissions for the annual distracted scholarship for the Spring 2023 semester. The scholarship supports high school seniors and college students who pledge to abstain from distracted driving, which is usually the result of texting while driving, talking to other passengers, daydreaming, eating, and drinking beverages.

As a leading personal injury practice, J&Y is committed to providing our clients with professional excellence and supporting the communities we serve by offering this annual scholarship. The application deadline for the Spring 2023 scholarship is Jan. 1, 2023. Visit our website for more information about eligibility requirements and submission guidelines.
