Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Hazen Law Group is excited to welcome Sarah E. Straub, an experienced attorney concentrating her practice in agricultural law. A representative for farmers and agricultural businesses in Pennsylvania, she brings a unique blend of legal, practical, and industry knowledge to the firm.

Sarah’s focus on succession and farm transfer planning will expand the firm’s capabilities in this niche area. With the agriculture sector being an economic mainstay in Pennsylvania, her inclusion is expected to be a significant asset to the state’s farmers and agricultural businesses. In addition to tackling issues in the agricultural law sector, Sarah will also assist individuals with estate planning, real estate matters, and agricultural-related litigation – areas that further diversify Hazen Law Group’s suite of services.

A proud Penn State Law graduate, Sarah’s academic credentials lay the groundwork for her practical proficiency. While at Penn State, she worked as a research assistant in the Penn State Center for Agriculture and Shale Law, and served as an associate editor for the Penn State Law Arbitration Law Review, provided her with a deep understanding of the legal challenges within the agriculture industry and knowledge of dispute resolutions available outside of the court systems. She also completed concentrations of study in Energy and Environmental Law and Constitutional Law and Civil Rights, further equipping her to deal with complex legal challenges. She graduated magna cum laude and shortly thereafter joined the agricultural law practice alongside Gary J. Heim and Jennifer D. Wetzel.

Sarah is licensed to practice in all state courts and administrative agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Further, she is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, making her a versatile legal representative equipped to handle a wide array of cases.

Hailing from Snyder County, Sarah balances her professional commitments with a love for outdoor activities such as camping and kayaking, and spending time with friends and family, keeping her deeply connected with the local community.

Her addition to the Hazen Law Group underscores the firm’s commitment to not only expand its team with top-tier talent but also to nurture its deep-rooted connections with the local community. It is anticipated that Sarah’s contribution will significantly enhance Hazen Law Group’s capacity to serve its clients with more comprehensive and industry-specific legal solutions.

Hazen Law Group’s attorneys are widely regarded as leaders in their fields. Their attorneys will take the time to listen carefully to concerns and develop solutions that address them.
